Most of us want to do good things for our communities and lend a helping hand to those in need. In fact, according to a recent study, more than three-quarters of Americans believe companies should do more for their communities. Nissan believes this too and has a started a new campaign called “Calling All TITANS.” This campaign is focused on the everyday heroes all around us who use their pickup trucks for good.
Nissan has divided these heroes into three groups: TITANS of the Community, TITANS of the Neighborhood, and TITANS of the Outdoors. With this program, Nissan is donating $1 million to three organizations, Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, and the National Park Foundation.
“We have seen that TITAN customers are the kind of people who want to get the job done and leave their world better than they found it,” said Jeremy Tucker, vice president, Marketing Communications and Media, Nissan North America, Inc. “Be it conservation of the outdoors, contributions to local charities or simple acts of kindness, there is a natural desire among pickup truck owners to take action when help is needed.”
Thanks to its strong capabilities for towing, hauling, and driving, the Nissan TITAN is a great truck for making it through tough situations and driving conditions. Every time there is a disaster or a need in this country, you will see TITAN owners helping where they can.
Here at Cronic Nissan, we’re proud to serve the city of Griffin and its surrounding areas.
The 2019 Nissan Altima is arriving with new technologies, upgraded performance, and enhanced safety. A complete redesign creates what’s practically a new model for this midsize sedan.
“Our goal with the all-new Altima is to re-energize the sedan segment — in terms of design, driving feel and in making advanced technologies available and affordable for everyone,” said Jose Munoz, Nissan’s Chief Performance Officer.
The all-new Altima arrives with the world’s first production Variable Compression Turbo engine. It delivers a thrilling 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, a base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine offers an improved 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque.
While many midsize sedans are sticking to a front-wheel drivetrain, the 2019 Altima is changing the formula. It’s available with the segment’s first Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system.
Nissan has been making more and more advanced safety systems standard over the past few years, and the 2019 Altima is no exception. The new model includes driver-assist features like ProPILOT Assist, which provides drivers with autonomous driving systems designed to make hitting the road more relaxing.
“ProPILOT Assist has the ability to track curving lanes, helping the driver stay centered in the lane as well as adjusting for various traffic flow conditions,” said Takeshi Yamaguchi, senior vice president of Nissan Research and Development.
We’re excited to welcome the 2019 Nissan Altima to Cronic Nissan. Stop in sometime and take a look — or take one out for a test drive.
Farmers markets are a great place for people looking for fresh food that’s grown locally. It can be hard to know where fruit and veggies are from if you buy them at the supermarket, and many places don’t always provide the freshest produce. Farmers markets solve this problem, and they also provide a way for you to support the local economy. Check out the Fairgrounds Farmers Market this fall for a wide selection of food and crafts.
At Cronic Nissan, we’re proud to be a part of the Griffin, GA community, and often attend the Griffin Famers Market. The event is held at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds throughout the year, and the next one will be held on Friday, September 1st from 9am to 1pm, according to Eventbrite. There’s constantly a call for new vendors, so there’s always new produce and products at the market.
You can find local products at the farmers market like Baker’s Bark spice rub, Grazing Here grass-fed beef burgers, fresh pumpkins, honey, jelly, and jam. Pecans are ever-popular, though you can get virtually any veggie or fruit you might need for your next dinner recipe.
Visiting the Fairgrounds Farmers Market is just one way you can support your community. Hop in the car and explore what the area has to offer.
It’s the summer, and you want to experience the great outdoors. Thankfully, Georgia is full of natural beauty, and there are plenty of awesome hiking trails near Griffin for you to check out.
Line Creek Nature Area
Line Creek is hiding inconspicuously behind a shopping area, but the crowds don’t transfer to the park! Here you’ll find serene trails nestled among a creek and rock clusters.
This is a great place for adults and kids. You’ll not only be able to hike, but you can go on a nature walk where you can see rescued animals in their habitats. And after you see all of the animals, you can hit up the hiking or biking trails.
Whitewater Creek Trail
These trails are nestled within the mountains and the gorgeous Chattahoochee River. What’s nice is that these trials provide lots of shade so your hiking will be enjoyable even in hot temperatures.
Stone Mountain Park
Get to the top of this mountain for a great workout. There’s also a pavilion halfway up so that you’ll be able rest if you need to. There’s also a cable car that’ll take you to the top!
