The Nissan brand has been heavily touting their next-generation Titan pickup truck for months now, especially through the Nissan Titan Truckumentary series. In the latest chapter, Nissan turned its focus to the truck’s mammoth, powerful diesel engine. The chapter, titled “Diesel Goodness,” highlights the power, efficiency, and other benefits of the truck’s 5-liter DOHC V8.
It was developed by Cummins and comes only on the Titan XD model trim. It gets you 310 hp and a whopping 555 lb-ft of torque. The engine also gives you a towing capacity of up to 12,000 lbs.
Fortunately, not only does it increase those power numbers, but it also gives truck drivers a more efficient option than a regular gasoline engine.
Rich Miller, Nissan North America’s director of product planning, defines “diesel goodness” as “the feeling the engine always has more to give,” and with the Titan XD, you’ll get to have that feeling all the time. Come see us at Cronic Nissan to learn more.
