2019 Nissan Altima Features Updated Style, Performance, and Tech

For more than two decades, the Nissan Altima has been a favorite among drivers looking for a versatile, functional, and stylish sedan that delivers big where it matters most. The all-new 2019 Nissan Altima pays tribute to this legacy — and it also takes things to a new level with drastically updated style, more tech-savvy features, and new engine and drivetrain options.

Longer, wider, and lower than ever, the 2019 Nissan Altima features a clean, aerodynamic profile, a stunning floating roof design, a bold V-shaped grille, and distinctive boomerang-styled taillights. Inside, the 2019 Altima comes standard with a 7-inch instrument cluster display and an advanced 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display that provides Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ compatibility.

The 2019 Nissan Altima features a more thrilling powertrain, too.  For the first time, the Altima offers optional all-wheel drive. It’s also equipped with a vigorous new turbocharged inline-four engine that’s capable of 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.

These updates represent the most significant reworking of this popular sedan in more than a decade, and the result of this total overhaul is Nissan’s most striking Altima ever. At Cronic Nissan, we’re proud of the new 2019 Altima, and we’d love to give you an up-close look at what this beauty can do.

New Nissan-Disney Partnership for A Wrinkle in Time Movie

Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time is a classic in children’s literature, and for many readers it’s the first time they’re exposed to sci-fi/fantasy books. Impressed by the success of Disney’s Rogue One, Nissan agreed to work with Lucasfilm and Disney on a new adaption of A Wrinkle in Time featuring Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, and Reese Witherspoon. At Cronic Nissan, we couldn’t be more excited for the Nissan-Disney partnership.

According to The News Wheel, the world premiere of A Wrinkle in Time will be powered by the 2018 Nissan LEAF, and this intelligent electric vehicle will be featured on the red carpet as well.

A Wrinkle in Time is a thrilling story written in 1962, and it features supernatural beings that travel through time using “tesseracts,” or what we might now call wormholes, to meet a thirteen-year-old girl. There’s space and time travel, alien worlds, and evil brain monsters. This space-age film pairs well with the futuristic LEAF, one reason Nissan was eager to work with Disney.

Nissan commented on the new partnership, stating, “As a propeller of change, the All-New Nissan LEAF® is inspiring innovation by bringing you the technology of tomorrow, today. In celebration of Black History Month, and in honor of the upcoming release of Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time, Nissan and Walt Disney Studios are inspiring creatives, visionaries and dreamers with our Tomorrow to Today class. Together, we want to empower ingenuity and encourage innovation to help you move forward in your career. Whatever your passion is, we’ll help you get there.”

The latest LEAF comes with intelligent features like ProPILOT Assist to improve safety and to make driving easier, as this system lets you set a following distance and monitors traffic. There’s also a new e-Pedal that rethinks your experience behind the wheel.

Local Events and Activities: The Fairgrounds Farmers Market in Griffin

Farmers markets are a great place for people looking for fresh food that’s grown locally. It can be hard to know where fruit and veggies are from if you buy them at the supermarket, and many places don’t always provide the freshest produce. Farmers markets solve this problem, and they also provide a way for you to support the local economy. Check out the Fairgrounds Farmers Market this fall for a wide selection of food and crafts.

At Cronic Nissan, we’re proud to be a part of the Griffin, GA community, and often attend the Griffin Famers Market. The event is held at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds throughout the year, and the next one will be held on Friday, September 1st from 9am to 1pm, according to Eventbrite. There’s constantly a call for new vendors, so there’s always new produce and products at the market.

You can find local products at the farmers market like Baker’s Bark spice rub, Grazing Here grass-fed beef burgers, fresh pumpkins, honey, jelly, and jam. Pecans are ever-popular, though you can get virtually any veggie or fruit you might need for your next dinner recipe.

Visiting the Fairgrounds Farmers Market is just one way you can support your community. Hop in the car and explore what the area has to offer.
