Nissan’s Resume Challenge Brings Teens to Nashville Headquarters

Nissan’s resume challenge | Cronic Nissan | Griffin, GA

The Resume Challenge.

One important factor when applying for a job is having a resume that stands out. However, creating the perfect resume isn’t always easy. That is why, for the fourth year, Nissan’s Resume Challenge showed some promising high school students how to get ahead.

Workshops

This year, students from around the country, including in Jackson, participated in the event. The Jackson students first participated in a two-day workshop where they got some career coaching from Nissan staff and learned how to create a resume and cover letter and prepare for an interview.

After the workshop, the students had to create their resumes. The 10 students with the best resumes were then invited to Nissan’s headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, where teens from other Resume Challenges in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, and Washington, D.C. joined them.

Explore The Facilities.

While at Nissan headquarters, the teens met with various Nissan employees from different departments along with Nashville community leaders. They also got an exclusive inside look at the Nissan facility that produces the LEAF, Altima, Rogue, and other models.

Here at Cronic Nissan, we are proud to be part of a company that is working hard to make sure the next generation gets the opportunities and training they need to succeed.

Spring break is right around the corner for many schools. If you have any students in your family, you might be thinking about some activities you can do or trips you can take. However, you don’t have to go far to have some fun. Here are some ideas on how to spend spring break in Georgia.

Fun Suggestions:

  • Hiking in the mountains. Head north to the Chattahoochee National Forest and enjoy some excellent hiking with the family. If you make it to the top, you’ll get some great scenic views.
  • Visit Macon. Just an hour away from Griffin, Georgia is Macon. Take a few day trips and visit the Earth Lodge, dig for fossils at Ocmulgee National Monument, take a walk through the Dauset Trails Nature Center, or tour the Museum of Aviation.
  • See some color. Head an hour southwest to Pine Mountain and visit the Callaway Gardens. This beautiful garden explodes in color during the spring. You can also take a walk through the butterfly house.
  • Take in the city. Plan a stay in Atlanta and act as touristy as you like. Get a CityPASS and visit five of Atlanta’s best attraction. And, catch a screening or two of some great movies at the Atlanta Film Festival.
