Nissan Titan XD Named 2016 Truck of the Year

If you have been following the Nissan Truckumentary series, you know the inspiration and hard work that has gone into creating the latest generation of the Nissan Titan. The designers and engineers at Nissan have clearly sought to raise the bar in the full-size pickup truck market. With the latest round of recognition, it looks like they may just have succeeded.

AutoGuide.com has named the 2016 Nissan Titan XD as the 2016 Truck of the Year. The editors at AutoGuide.com heaped on the praise, saying,“The new Nissan Titan XD offers a comfortable, quiet ride and more confidence than what you’ll find in today’s half-ton pickup market.”

The 2016 Nissan Titan XD also picked up the 2016 Pickup Truck of the Year by Autobytel, a company that helps customers interface with dealers. The folks at Autobytel really liked the refined power of the Titan, lauding the standard Cummins 5.0-liter V8 Turbo Diesel.

Fully equipped, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD offers more than 12,300 pounds of towing capability.

How to Free Yourself if Your Car is Stuck in Snow This Season

Nothing is more frustrating that when you’re about to leave for work and realize that your car is stuck in snow or mud. Except for, perhaps, almost making it to your destination and realizing that you’re stuck.

The best thing you can do, especially if you are located in a snowy, muddy, or sandy area, is be prepared. Keep a strong, lightweight shovel available, as well as some sort of canvas-like material, like a large, tough tarp.

The first step to hopefully freeing your vehicle is to shovel away as much offending muck as you can and then placing your canvas slightly under and in front of the tires. Ideally, you will be able to drive away at this point.

Keep in mind – you should be accelerating slowly, which will give you the most traction possible. If you still find yourself stuck, it may be best to simply call for help. Whatever you do, don’t strain yourself and risk personal injury!
