Autoweek is reporting that Nissan has announced upgrades for the 2015 Frontier midsize pickup and the 2015 Xterra SUV. Fortunately, price is not one of those upgrades, as both new vehicles retain the same price as their 2014 models.
Frontier improvements include a new moonroof, which is now standard on the SL Long Wheelbase models. NissanConnect, which provides hands-free technology to drivers, has been made standard on the Pro-4X, SV and Desert Runner trims. Also, Arctic-Blue Metallic has been added as an exterior color option. The Frontier will still be available in two different engine options: a 4.0-liter V6 and a 2.5-liter four cylinder.
The Xterra’s S grade now comes with a boatload of tech, including NissanConnectSM with Mobile Apps, a 5-inch screen, USB port, Bluetooth, hands-free texting and satellite radio. Also, Solar-Flare Yellow has been added as a color option. All Xterras come with a 4.0-liter V6.
Both the 2015 Nissan Xterra and Frontier are now available, so stop by Cronic Nissan to test drive one today.
When the breeze slowly changes from sultry to crisp and Starbucks releases the Pumpkin Spice Latte once again, it can only mean one thing—autumn is coming. With cold weather coming, along with the frost and snow that accompanies it, it’s important to prepare your car for the temperature change. To do so, make sure you follow these fall car maintenance tips to ensure your car will run smoothly no matter the weather.
Keep your battery clean. Cold weather can be brutal on your battery. To ensure your battery is in top working order the entire cold season, make sure its connections are clean, tight, and corrosion-free. If you know that your battery is more than three years old, we suggest replacing it—the older the battery is, the more likely it is to die.
Make sure your heating and cooling systems are in working order. When the frost comes in, it’s important that your heating and cooling systems are in good condition. If they’re not, the defroster might not work, decreasing your visibility. The fall is also a great time to replace your air filters.
Check out your tires. New tires increase the amount of control you have over your car. Check the tire pressure regularly, especially as the weather gets colder since cold weather can lower tire pressure. The tread depth is also important, especially on ice- or snow-covered covered roads. Bring your car into the mechanic to get new tires if you find the tread to be too smooth.
Replace your brakes, if needed. The brake system is obviously the most important safety feature your car has. Make sure to check the brakes before the winter storms roll in. Ask your local mechanic to examine the brake linings, rotors, and drums, ensuring your brakes will be ready to tackle the slick fall and winter roads.
With these fall maintenance tips, your car should be in top condition for the fall. To service your car, bring it in to Cronic Nissan today!
In an official press release promoting the 2015 Nissan 370Z, Nissan calls the NISMO vehicle line the “heart and soul of Nissan performance for both the track and on the street,” but the redesigned 370Z takes it all to a new, higher level. Thanks to an all-new exterior design, awesome new powertrain options, and even more technological options, the 370Z is the ultimate culmination of over 30 years of Nissan Z innovation and performance.
The 370Z NISMO runs on a 3.7L DOHC engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control. That engine jets out 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft. of torque, making it a much more powerful version of the 370Z. You can also opt for the Tech Package, which adds a Nissan Navigation System and a seven-speed automatic transmission to the picture.
Plus, it’s a great-looking new sports car too. The exterior features “A fully integrated chin spoiler enhances the sense of dynamic movement, while enhancing airflow and downforce for exceptional aerodynamic performance. The front also features the addition of a NISMO emblem and signature NISMO red stripe accents that continue from the spoiler down the special side sill protectors.” If all this makes the new NISMO sound like the greatest Nissan ever, that’s because it is. Come see us here at Cronic Nissan today to check out the NISMO lineup for yourself.
