As technology progresses, vehicles are becoming safer and safer. In fact, one day, accidents may be avoided all together with automated driving features. However, until that day comes, you want a car that is designed to keep you safe in an accident and the 2014 Nissan Rogue is one of the best choices.
Last week we wrote about how the Rogue was just named a Top Safety Pick Plus by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This means it scored the top “good” rating in five tests, including side impact, moderate front overlap, small front overlap, roof strength, and head restraint evaluations. It also got a “basic” rating for front impact prevention when equipped with the available Forward Collision Alert system.
The IIHS said the Rogue performed well in its crash tests since the driver compartment held up well and the structure allowed very little intrusion into the driver’s space.
Watch the IIHS crash test videos to see how well the Rogue held up for yourself.
If you’re in the market for a new vehicle and safety is a top priority, come visit us at Cronic Nissan and see how safe you feel behind the wheel of the 2014 Nissan Rogue.
Even though it’s called the Rogue, the 2014 edition of Nissan’s popular crossover isn’t trying to hide in the shadows. In fact, it’s a pretty hard vehicle to miss—completely redesigned with a beautiful, gracefully curving exterior, a vastly improved interior, and tons of standard features and advanced technology. All that hard work on the 2014 Rogue recently paid off yet again, as the IIHS named the Rogue a Top Safety Pick+.
“Nissan has a long-standing commitment to safety and innovation, and this IIHS rating is a very important milestone for the all-new 2014 Rogue,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing, Parts & Service, U.S.A, Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA). “Rogue is the second best-selling vehicle in Nissan’s lineup, and with its standard and available safety features, we’re bringing a new level of affordable technologies and innovations to a growing segment looking for fresh ideas.”
The criteria to capture a Top Safety Pick+ Rating have gotten even stricter in recent years, making the Rogue’s accomplishment even more impressive. Plus, with an Advanced Air Bag System, technology like the Easy Fill Tire Alert, and systems like Active Ride Control, this crossover has what it takes to keep you and your family safe, no matter what. Come see the Nissan Rogue for yourself at Cronic Nissan today!
Nissan is planning to bring an all new sedan concept to the Auto China show in Beijing this April. There isn’t much information yet, but many suspect it will be a follow-up to last year’s Friend-ME concept.
That concept, which really was much better than its name, had a great design and tons of high-tech connectivity features. This year’s concept should follow much in the same strain and Nissan says, “The concept expresses Nissan’s passion and focus in the world’s most dynamic auto market.”
The car will be designed by Nissan Design China located in Beijing along with the Nissan Global Design Center.
Nissan will also feature some of its other new models at the Beijing show including the BladeGlider concept, the Autonomous Drive Car, and the all-new X-Trail.
We’ll be on the lookout for more information on Nissan’s new concept car so stayed tuned to Cronic Nissan for future updates.
The Nissan NISMO lineup is pretty cool. From fine-tuning sports cars like the 370Z and GT-R to revolutionizing more “normal” vehicles like the Juke and Sentra, each NISMO vehicle brings something special to the table. For a limited time, Nissan is running a special, entertaining marketing campaign on their “Mashup 1” Facebook page. The campaign asks for you to comment with your favorite mashup between a NISMO and another Nissan vehicle—then you just have to sit back and wait for Nissan’s artists to bring your creation to life.
Whether you want to see the Cube with a GT-R flair or the Titan crossed with the chic of the 370Z, hurry over to the “Mashup 1” page to submit your comment today. Then come talk to us about your dream Nissan vehicle over at Cronic Nissan. Maybe we’ll even find you that special car hiding out somewhere in our inventory.
