Nissan knows how to kick off the new year the right way—with a teaser announcing that the new Sport Sedan Concept will make its debut in Detroit at the 2014 North American International Auto Show later this January. We’ve only been able to just glimpse the concept so far, but on January 13 the veil will finally be lifted and we’ll get our first full look at the dazzling new concept.
The Sport Sedan Concept, as we can confirm here at Cronic Nissan, does prefigure an eventual production model, widely rumored to be the 2015 Maxima. The released teaser image reveals a car with a similar profile—especially the front end styling—to the current Maxima while also showcasing Nissan’s “new energetic design direction.”
The 2014 NIAIS will also feature the North American premieres of the IDx Freeflow and IDx NISMO, futuristic compact vehicle concepts that took previously took the Tokyo Motor Show by storm.
With all this excitement—the promise of a new, sporty Nissan sedan and a flashy glimpse at the future of compact cars—slated just for January, it looks to be a very full and exciting year for Nissan!
