The Nissan brand recently shocked its fans with an all-new design of the flagship Maxima sedan, which was shown off last month at the New York Auto Show. While the reaction was somewhat mixed, most Nissan fans—including us here at Cronic Nissan—love the bold new direction. And we have even more exciting news now—the Maxima recently started production at the Tennessee plant in Smyrna.
Nissan is obviously excited about the new Maxima, and so is the state of Tennessee. The governor was even on hand for a ceremony celebrating the start of production for the new Nissan Maxima.
“With today’s launch, Nissan and Tennessee begin another chapter in their long and successful partnership defined by high-quality vehicles and the innovation of its workforce,” Governor Bill Haslam said at the ceremony. “We want to thank Nissan for continuing to invest here, helping build Tennessee’s reputation as a leading automotive manufacturing state.”
The new Maxima will hit the market this summer. It will come in five different trim levels, all of which feature that sporty and aggressive new design. It also includes Drive Assist Display, optional heated/cooled seats, a Bose audio system, and even a 3.5-liter engine good for 300 horsepower. Come see us here at Cronic Nissan to learn more about the new Maxima and prepare for its arrival this summer!
