If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to be a professional racecar driver, then be sure to catch Nissan’s GT Academy Season 4. In this show, Nissan takes 12 of the best virtual racers in North America and puts them through a rigorous week of testing their skills, both on the track and off. The contestants have to show off their individual skills along with how well they work together as a team.
The show has already aired its first few episodes, but don’t worry if you’re just now starting. You can catch all the action on Nissan’s YouTube page, and you don’t have to sit through commercial breaks.
This show proves that racecar drivers really are athletes (previous winner, Wolfgang Reip, pictured above). The contestants have to go through a serious of physical challenges that would make most of us pass out and give up, including an intense quadrathalon in episode 1 and a mud run in episode 3.
In each episode, one to two contestants are eliminated. The one-hour season finale will air on December 19 at 11:30 PM EST on Spike TV, and during it, the next GT Academy champion will be crowned.
